Lowcountry Pastimes: New Year’s Resolutions Inspired by Kiawah River

As the countdown to 2024 begins, Kiawah River encourages residents to embrace all our community has to offer in the new year. Kiawah River is so much more than just a picturesque background and a beautiful place to live, it’s a place for residents and visitors to connect with nature, create cherished memories and maybe even step outside of their comfort zone!

Here are some New Year’s resolutions to consider incorporating into your lifestyle in 2024:

Embrace Outdoor Wellness: Spending more time outdoors and exploring all of Kiawah River’s amenities is sure to improve mental and physical well-being. If you haven’t tried goat yoga at The Goatery or forest bathing  under the mossy grand oak trees, now is the time!

Support Local Businesses: There are many ways for Kiawah River residents to support local businesses, including dining at nearby restaurants, shopping at local stores or attending community events to support the area. No matter what you choose, your support is appreciated and helpful in building a strong and connected community.

Set Conservation Goals: Kiawah River is always welcoming new volunteers to assist with the community’s conservation efforts, whether that’s assisting Chief Environmental Officer Jeff Snyder in building owl and bat boxes or volunteering at The Goatery or Three Gates Cattle.

Be Adventurous Within the Community: From birdwatching and biking along the community’s various scenic trails to kayaking and fishing expeditions, there is something for everyone at Kiawah River. It does not matter if you are a professional or trying out these adventures for the first time, Kiawah River offers an array of activities for those of all skill levels.

Each of these resolutions reflect the essence of Kiawah River and we can’t wait to see what you choose to implement into your lifestyle in the new year!
