Kiawah River News: Southern Living Idea House 2024 is at Kiawah River!
Kiawah River has some exciting news. Â
Southern Living, the South’s iconic lifestyle and home magazine, chose the location for its highly anticipated 2024 Idea House, and it is none other than our own Kiawah River community! Â
Open for public tours from August to December 2024, the 4,400-square-foot waterfront home embodies the Lowcountry landscape and showcases the essence of outdoor living with a unique blend of farmhouse-inspired design, high-quality craftsmanship and Southern charm.Â
Designed as a collaborative effort with local creatives, the Idea House incorporates the works of Charleston-based artists including Andrea-Cayetano-Jefferson of Gullah Sweetgrass Baskets and textile designer Rebecca Atwood. Additionally, the talented team that brought the Idea House to life includes builder Dillard-Jones, architect MHK Architecture, interior designer Allison Elebash Interiors and landscape architect DesignWorks.Â
The Idea House will also featured shoppable experiences, allowing visitors and readers to seamlessly incorporate a piece of the Lowcountry charm into their homes. Â
Southern Living unveiled the 2024 Idea House in the magazine’s September 2024 issue, showcasing the beauty of our stunning community.
