Event Recap: 2021 Fall Field Day & Run Like the Devil 5K Race

Every year, we look forward to our annual Fall Field Day, featuring Charleston Collegiate School’s Run Like the Devil 5K + Fun Run, as a way to welcome the highly anticipated autumn season to the Lowcountry. On Oct. 23, we gathered with families and friends to enjoy the crisp fall air alongside local vendors, carnival games, a dunk tank, live music, food trucks and more for an unforgettable day of fun.

Attendees browsed through our vendor’s market which included products from Sea Flower Company, Lounge With Us, Ruth Anne Designs, Restored Board, Lafawnda Creates, Blue Moon Gallery, Sweet Jessamine, Margerite & Motte, Indigo Bee, Hemmingbirds and more. Meanwhile, food trucks and drink stations, including Martin’s BBQ, Brunch Holiday and Hemingway, served up delicious plates and drinks to the sweet tunes of Mike Quinn and his entertaining trio while Tyler Robinson and Cooper Williams served as the event’s hilarious emcees.

Collectively, the folks at Kiawah River, The Beach Company and Charleston Collegiate offered a warm welcome to around 1,200 guests, including 147 5Krace participants and 111 Fun Runners, to raise a whopping $50,000 for the Charleston Collegiate School’s annual fund. The annual fund benefits the school’s faculty and supports hands-on learning opportunities for the arts, outdoor education, entrepreneurship and athletics departments.

With more than 2,000 acres of picturesque land and 20 miles of shoreline, Kiawah River offered Fall Field Day attendees and race participants unmatched views of the Lowcountry’s most spectacular autumn landscape.

We hope to see you at our Fall Field Day next year, where festivities are sure to be bigger and better than ever!
