Celebrating Fall Field Day + Run Like the Devil 5K and Fun Run

We celebrated autumn in the Lowcountry at Kiawah River’s annual Fall Field Day, featuring the Run Like the Devil 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Families and friends (and pets!) were invited to enjoy a socially distanced event that includes a farmer’s market full of local makers and goods, contactless children’s games, live music, food trucks and more with plenty of open space and unmatched views of the season-changing leaves in the Lowcountry.

This year’s vendors included: Martins BBQ, Brunch Holiday Food Truck, Hemingway Beers, Counter Culture Coffee, Jack Harvey Wines, Mamasita Margaritas Truck, MacBailey Candle Co., Penelope Design Jewelry, Blue Moon by Suzanne Leonard Art, Restored Board, Sweet Jessamine Flower Truck, Margerite + Motte Designs and Low Country Luxe Designs.

The family friendly event is free and open to the public to attend. Attendees were required to RSVP online prior to the event.

Check-in for the Run Like the Devil race opened at 9 a.m., with the 5K starting at 10 a.m. and the Fun Run at 12 p.m. Race tickets ranged from $20 to $45, and all proceeds supported the Charleston Collegiate School’s annual fund.

Last year’s event raised tremendous support for the Charleston Collegiate School’s Annual Fund, and with some old-fashioned fun and safety precautions in mind, this year’s event was another great success!
