As our community continues to grow and emerge, homeowners, friends and visitors gathered at Kiawah River on January 18 to join us for our first Saturday Social Oyster Roast.

Our guests enjoyed live music under the oaks while shucking oysters and sipping Bloody Marys. The spectacular weather set the tone for a perfect evening of soaking in the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of our Lowcountry Paradise.

Barrier Island Oyster Company served up an abundance of fresh, steamed oysters with all of the fixin’s and The Immortal Lobster food truck dished out the best Lobster Rolls in Charleston and Gilligan’s Food Truck brought along their seaside favorites. Fat and Juicy Bloody Marys, Frothy Beard Brewing Company and 48 Wine & Spirits provided an appealing selection of beer, wine and cocktails throughout the evening. Guests also had the opportunity to shop Floodtide Clothing Co.’s southern art and gear, taking home gifts and inspiration.

As the sun set on another unforgettable Kiawah River event, friends kept warm by the fire, danced along as the Ol 55’s played their soft tunes by the river. Thank you to all of our Kiawah River friends for sharing such fun and memorable evening with us.
