Sea Islands Health Facilities Planned 5 Minutes from Kiawah River

The Medical University of South Carolina has announced a new healthcare building between Seabrook and Kiawah, five minutes away from Kiawah River. The sea islands hospital will be easily accessible to Kiawah River residents, offering an emergency room, helipad and medical office building with primary and specialty care practices, according to the Post and Courier article.

As the population of the region has grown, demand for immediate healthcare assistance has risen. Community members won’t have to leave the island to visit other offices anymore, which has been long awaited by property owners with medical needs. This is exciting news for our community, who will enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities located just minutes away.

The planned location at 1884 Seabrook Island Road plans to offer immediate access to emergency services, expand primary care services, increase specialty care services, enhance specialty care with robust telemedicine capabilities and provide access to imaging services, according to MUSC. We look forward to having this project join the island community in the future!
