G.O.A.T. 5K Event Recap + Photo Gallery

On May 14, Kiawah River hosted the second annual G.O.A.T. 5K. More than 300 runners and walkers gathered at The Goatery on a picture-perfect Saturday morning, where they took to the trails, winding through the community and taking in the beauty of spring in the sea islands. At the finish line, participants enjoyed coffee and biscuits from Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit Truck and, of course, some mandatory cuddling and selfies with the baby goats. All racers left with a unique trucker hat, a farm-fresh plant from a local farm (in lieu of a finishing medal) and the satisfaction of partaking in a 100% eco-friendly event that benefited  The Lowcountry Farm Conservation. Congratulations to the top finishers: Jason McCormack (Overall Male), Sarah Cordell (Overall Female), David Rogers (Masters Male) and Shannon Williams (Master Female).

Thanks to everyone for making the event so successful again this year. We look forward to doing it all again in 2023!
