Events: Farmstead Field Day at Kiawah River

This spring, locals and visitors alike joined us at Kiawah River to shop exciting local vendors from around Charleston on Saturday, April 20th, from 1 to 5 o’clock. Friends, family, and four-legged friends and joined us outside for a fun and spirited afternoon celebrating Springtime in the Lowcountry!

Guests enjoyed a little sunshine with local makers, farm animals, food trucks, live music, nature walks, a flower crown workshop and more.

A few of our local Charleston vendors who were on hand for the event included: Modern South Studio, Natalie Humphrey Art, Loren Beadle, Chelsea Goer Art, Deane Valentine Art, Flood Tide Clothing Company & Art, MacBailey Candles, Harry Barker, Church Creek Nursery Plants, Cowboy Cauldron, Hob Nob Kid’s Games, Wild Weiners Hot Dogs, Restored Board, Fetes de Fleurs, Wheely Ice Cream Truck Notes Coffee and more.

These 2,000 acres of Johns Island are teeming with sea island life—herons and osprey, redfish and oyster beds, oaks and pines, creeks and ponds, and wide spans of marsh grass along the Kiawah River.
