Homeowners and friends celebrated the start of spring as they shucked oysters and shared cocktails at the Saturday Social Oyster Roast on March 31. Embellished with vibrant flora and fauna, Oak Park hosted a private party in the heart of the sea islands village. The outdoor festivities welcomed a peaceful afternoon full of delicious food, live music and great company.

Families and friends gathered for fresh oysters from Lowcountry Oyster Co. while laughing and connecting with new friends and neighbors. Every few minutes, a steamy pot of oysters would crash onto the tables as guests conquered a new mountain of fresh local seafood.

Southbound 17’s acoustic live music set the tone for a relaxing day outdoors, serenading the park with a fresh “East Coast Western” sound of the guitar, banjo, mandolin and compelling lyrics.

Guests enjoyed local bites from Harvest Catering and Immortal Lobster, indulging in the delicious Southern culinary staples. Sweet Lulu’s Bakery offered guests gourmet treats like key lime pie and fresh chocolate chip cookies as they ventured across the green space, meeting with friends or touring the open homes surrounding the park.

It was a beautiful day to share oysters, listen to live music and experience the vibrancy of spring in Oak Park while gathering with good friends.
