About Town: Kiawah River’s 2024 Fall Festival & Run Like the Devil 5K Race Recap

Fall at Kiawah River brings some of our favorite traditions, and this year’s Fall Festival on October 19 was no exception. The day brought together families, friends and neighbors under Lowcountry skies for one of our most celebrated events, featuring Charleston Collegiate School’s Run Like the Devil 5K + Fun Run, festive activities, live entertainment, and a bustling vendor village filled with unique local finds.

Attendees explored our vendor market, discovering handcrafted items from local artisans and creative goods from Charleston Collegiate student entrepreneurs. The day had something for everyone, from live music to food trucks serving the region’s favorites, along with more than 40 local vendors and a pumpkin patch set up by Charleston Collegiate’s PTA.

This year, Kiawah River, The Beach Company and Charleston Collegiate School hosted a very well-attended festival, and the crowd cheered on 192 5K runners and 164 Fun Runners. Together, we raised almost $50,000 for the Charleston Collegiate School’s Annual Fund, which supports teacher resources, financial aid, campus improvements and much more.

With 2,000 acres of lush landscapes and 20 miles of shoreline, Kiawah River provided a stunning backdrop for this fall celebration. We’re already counting down to next year’s Fall Festival and can’t wait to share more unforgettable moments with our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we hope to see even more friendly faces in 2025!
