Kiawah River’s honey is special to our community. It is sweet, pure and timeless in its process. If you listen carefully, you can hear the humming hive that’s energetic pace produces a bountiful supply of honey. The fresh, golden sap is made by honeybees that are harvested under a large oak in the Northwest area of our farms. Sweeping up the thick nectar with a honey dipper, you’ll sense the pride of growing something from nature.

The hardworking bees produce dark and light honey depending on the season and the way they are harvested. The hue, fragrance and sweetness vary depending on what the bees eat and different plants that bloom in the fall as compared to the spring.

This spring, Kiawah River’s honey produced a light, sweet and fragrant taste from wildflowers. When we collected it in the fall, it produced a richer, deep flavor from palmetto trees.
