About Town: Reflecting on Home for the Holidays 2025
Kiawah River lit up with holiday spirit as the community gathered for the return of the Home for the Holidays celebration. On Friday, November 28, residents and guests strolled through newly completed homes, sampled irresistible local bites, swayed to the sound of live music and wandered through a merry market outfitted with talented vendors.
The event invited guests to step inside the Spring House, Kiawah River’s luxury waterfront pool and wellness retreat, before exploring a curated collection of homes that showcase the craftsmanship of the Kiawah River Builders Guild. Guided tours led visitors through stunning new residences on Saltspray Lane, Honey Hole Haven and Jack Island Drive.
This year’s home tours offered an inspiring look at Kiawah River’s newest residences— ranging from parkside retreats to inviting coastal homes. Visitors explored light-filled great rooms, generous porches, thoughtfully crafted kitchens and custom details that reflect the community’s dedication to timeless Lowcountry design and easy, indoor–outdoor living.
More than 50 vendors, farmers and artisans stole the show setting up shop in the River Barns with distinctive local gifts, home décor, jewelry and festive treats. Crowd favorites like Smash City Burgers, Sticky Fingers BBQ and Shaka Shrimp kept the crowd coming back for another bite.
It was a wonderful day celebrating the people, places, and simple joys that make the Kiawah River community shine during the holidays. We can’t wait to welcome you back next year!
